The Movies

Has this ever happened to you? You are watching a movie that you are really not interested in for whatever reason then you notice that someone in knitting in the move and suddenly the movie is a whole lot more interesting? That happened to me this weekend. In honor of Memorial Day my hubby decided that on Friday we would watch movie. I was really tired when we started to watch and was working on the second everlasting sock when I noticed that the mother was spinning. It caught my attention a little, but then when I noticed someone else knitting in the movie it grabbed me a little more. That is until I fell asleep. Now I have to go and rent the movie just so I could see what they were working on.

I am sure there are plenty more movies where characters are knitting, but these are the only other two I can think of off the top of my head.

cast of chicken run

Did you notice the children's theme here. Unless it is geared towards children, I have not seen it lately.

I hear you about the children's themed movies. We have to watch movies after the kidlets go to bed, and even then we're falling asleep.

Sadly in hoodwinked what looks to be knitting is in fact her holding ski handle things (sry, I'm a floridian, the only skiing I've ever done was 90% avoiding sharks)

You're doing better than me. I couldn't tell you last time I've watched a movie that wasn't on Lifetime.

Here's a pretty good list: http://www.angelhairyarn.com/movies.html

They've left off Harry Potter...dunno if they're not counting the magical knitting Mrs. Weasley does...
